Ride Photos
Today, we biked to Staten Island in the rain! By the time we reached the ferry, we were completely soaked! We definitely earned our rain badges! We loaded our bikes on board for the twenty-minute ferry ride and caught great views of the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. We even traced part of our bike path on Governors Island when we spotted the Hill.
On Staten Island, we stopped at a pavilion in Snug Harbor for lunch. We danced to wait out the rain before continuing through the park to look for a geocache by a concrete bridge and take a water sample. Then, we biked to the Connie Gretz Secret Garden and peeked over the wall. Before biking back to the ferry, we stopped by the Staten Island Conservatory for a quick break. We also stopped in front of the Richmond County Surrogate Court for a group picture. After that, we took the ferry back over to Manhattan, biking up the West Side and through Central Park on the return trip.
Stay tuned for our last ride of the season, Corona Park!
